MAN Lion's City Ü

Efficiency – maximum benefits with minimum impact

As a partner to transport providers and companies in local public transport, MAN presents solutions for the most important tasks of tomorrow: this includes flexibility, comfort, safety and environmental protection. Central focus is on the costs/benefits analysis more than ever today. Ultimate efficiency is therefore in demand. And this is exactly where the MAN Lion's City Ü is the first choice.

Efficient through the entire line

The Lion's City Ü is moving in very new directions when it comes to comfort, safety, economy and sustainability. For instance, the extremely quiet operation air conditioning system not only contributes to a pleasant feel-good temperature on board, it also increases energy efficiency and significantly reduces the weight. Additionally, the upgraded electronics structure increases reliability and improves operational safety.

The Euro 6 exhaust-gas standard restricts primarily the emission of pollutants in exhaust gas, such as carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxides (NOx) and particulates (PM).

Further information on Euro 6

There is a choice of two transmissions for the MAN Lion’s City Ü. A Voith four-speed automatic transmission with differential converter and powerful secondary retarder as well as a ZF six-speed automatic transmission with torque converter and integrated primary retarder. Both transmissions are ideal for use in the Lion’s City Ü and provide superb and efficient power transmission.

MAN is the market leader in natural gas buses that satisfy the stringent Euro 6 exhaust-gas standard and achieve best emission values without complex exhaust gas after-treatment.

Compared with the previous air conditioning systems, the new air conditioning system is considerably lighter — the vehicle weight is less, the fuel consumption is lowered. Also, the new air conditioning system needs much less refrigerant and has a longer service life. The reduction of attachment points makes access to the technical equipment easier, which significantly reduces maintenance times.
